    The IHIA and the DeKalb County District Attorney's Office are presenting the 3-day (24-hour) Officer Involved Critical Incident Investigations Course on May 19-21, 2026, in Decatur, Georgia.  

    This course provides valuable information for law enforcement

    officers regardless of assignment.  It is critical for officers assigned as

    Criminal investigators, Administrative Investigators, Patrol/Detective

    Supervisors and Managers, and Public Information Officers. This is a

    highly interactive course and is limited to 30 attendees.

    The IHIA and the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office will present a 3-day hands on training event from May 19-21, 2026, at the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, in Tampa, Florida.

    Digital evidence plays a role in nearly every investigation. This hands-on training is designed to equip law enforcement personnel with the skills necessary to properly identify, collect, preserve, and analyze digital evidence in support of criminal cases.

    Participants will receive instruction on mobile device forensics, computer and network evidence, cloud-based platforms, digital evidence legal considerations, practical artifact recovery, report preparation, and courtroom testimony. Attendees will work through case exercises that can be directly applied to homicide, violent crime, and other investigations.
